Nissan’s Patrol is a legendary off-road vehicle, and the GR SGX model is a massively capable yet luxurious and highly specified variant. The Patrol has been manufactured since 1951, and this 1994 model is from the fourth generation – the first to be manufactured with coil-spring suspension instead of leaf springs.

Relied upon across the world for everything from farm work and rescue operations to military applications, the Patrol’s reputation precedes it. As a workhorse, it is almost unparalleled.

This car is incredibly original, having been cherished and cared for by one family (2 owners – a father and daughter) from new. It has been kept garaged, maintained fastidiously and represents what can only be termed a ‘time warp’ vehicle. We have never seen a nearly 30 year old off road vehicle in this kind of condition before. It comes with:

All of the original handbooks are present and correct, in as-new condition. There is a full service history, the latest service having been carried out in April 2021, and the old MOT certificates which confirm the vehicle’s amazingly low mileage. In fact, in the last 22 years, the vehicle has covered less than 10,000 miles.

Although the Patrol is a hugely capable off-road vehicle, in this specification it is also a highly luxurious and practical vehicle. The interior is in exceptional condition, presenting almost as-new. Grey leather graces the seats and door cards and is in perfect condition, with the carpets, dash, switchgear and all other elements of the interior working perfectly and being in superb condition.

One of the most impressive things about this vehicle is the condition of the paint and bodywork. There are a couple of very minor scuffs and tiny dings on the vehicle, but you’d be hard pushed to believe this was a nearly 30 year old car. The deep green over silver two-tone paint is in fabulous condition, and all the external panels and trim pieces are likewise in near perfect condition. Even the tyres are the original items that came on the car from the factory.

Optional extras included on this vehicle include a full-size spare wheel and cover to the rear, original Nissan / Thule roof bars, original Nissan bull bars and front spot lights.

Just like the rest of the vehicle, the mechanical aspects are in stunningly good order. The engine bay is very clean and tidy, and the underneath of the vehicle is in great condition, being solid and intact without any obvious signs of damage or serious wear.

The 4.2 litre engine fires up first time and runs smoothly and cleanly, with no lumpiness or surging. It has clearly been very well maintained and has just been serviced (April 2021). The car has a fully-functioning 4x4 system with high / low range box and diff lock.

It’s not often that a car this well maintained and cared for becomes available. It’s even less common for a large 4x4 to be so meticulously and beautifully maintained for almost 30 years. There are only 13 cars of this spec still on the road in the UK, and we’re willing to bet that none of them come close to the condition of this vehicle.

Not only does it feature a frankly ludicrously low mileage of just over 14,000 miles, but everything on the vehicle works, works well and is in exceptionally good condition. Even the original tool kit (complete with plastic wraps for the tools) and original tyres are present. It has a full service history and has been in the same family from new. The paint is gorgeous, the interior is stunning and the engine runs as smoothly as fresh butter. As well as being in almost factory-fresh condition, the spec of the vehicle is superb. The exterior is finished in fabulous two-tone paintwork, deeply glossy dark green over silver, and the interior is trimmed in near-perfect grey leather.
