The 3 Series BMWs were designed as a smaller executive car and have been produced since 1975, all be it with regular upgrades, up to the present day.

The Compact was brought out in 1993 as a shorter 2 door, hatchback version of the 3 Series, still featuring rear wheel drive & utilising BMWs four-cylinder petrol engines originally, although went on to include both diesel & six-cylinder petrol engines before production ceased in 2004.

First registered on the 11th of October 1995 to it’s first and only owner by supplying dealers Yeomans of Lincoln.

Used as an only car, it would appear to have travelled only 17,000 miles by 2006 and then less than 10,000 miles in the last 16 years according to Mot records.

Now in the hands of the first owner’s grandson, it has hardly been used due to him owning another vehicle, so it’s now time to part company.

There is a current V5c registration document, a Mot certificate to February 2023, Original owner’s manual, service & warranty records and a number of receipts for service work carried out.

Finished in Anthracite cloth upholstery, with matching black carpets which have been covered from new by additional BMW supplied footwell mats.

All seats are in great condition front & back with little wear apparent.

The dash, central console & roof lining are similarly in excellent over all condition, the sunroof opens and closes as expected & is electrically operated along with the windows.

Overall, great condition and as expected from such a low mileage car.

Striking in Boston metallic green finished off with alloy wheels, overall, the paintwork in in good condition. No rust visible, but there are a few small scratches as the photos will show, mostly on the doors around the handles which we’re sure could be greatly reduced with a spot of polishing and coloured wax. So too the passenger side door mirror, but easily tided as above.

The wheels are in great condition, free of scuff marks and obviously very well looked after, with matching Michelin tyres all round.

The vinyl covering the central door pillars on both doors is just starting to peel away, see photos but again, an easy fix in these days of specialist wrapping companies.

It’s a BMW, so as expected it starts easily, ticks over quietly and nothing would seem to be untoward.

It was easily moved around to have the photos taken, snicking into first & reverse without hesitation. Under the bonnet is very tidy and just as it left the BMW production line.

Driven regularly by an elderly gentleman and looked after accordingly, with regular oil changes and routine servicing.

This is a well presented, low mileage car that has many years of motoring ahead we’re sure, cheap to run, cheapish to insure, well equipped and good looking.

A cheap daily runabout , or a treasured weekend driver , its up to you to choose but it’ll do both comfortably and in style.
