The Appeal

Alpina has always been something of an ‘if you know, you know’ manufacturer, meaning they appealed to enthusiasts from the outset. Taking BMW’s executive coupes, saloons and estates (or Tourings, if you want to use the marque terminology) and one-upping them is no mean feat, but that’s exactly what Alpina do.
This is no back-alley upgrade either; oh no. Alpina arguably make even the best BMWs better, tweaking the engine, suspension and transmissions, adding subtle (and some not-so-subtle) exterior upgrades, and generally refining ‘the ultimate driving machine’ even further, with the end goal of building a comfortable, well-equipped GT car that can embarrass cars far more expensive and powerful when out on the open road.
For those that wanted to cover mammoth mileage with ease and have fun in the process, but still require practicality to cart the family and perhaps a dog or two around, the Alpina Touring models were the logical choice, and that’s exactly what we have here.
First registered in 1999, the original owner had the car from new until 2015, and it has since passed through the hands of just two further keepers before coming to our vendor in 2018. Cherished, cosseted and maintained irrespective of cost throughout its lifetime, the condition of this B10 is simply astounding, and hides its age and mileage with apparent ease. Trust us, this is not one you want to miss out on…
Oh, and it’s a manual. Just in case it couldn’t get any better!

  • Engine bay in tidy condition throughout, with no signs of any issues or leaks (though the oil filter housing is typically dirty)
  • In the current ownership, the car has received new front discs and pads, a new MAF, new battery, and had a small (50p sized) patch of corrosion professionally repaired.
  • Prior to current ownership, the car received significant attention to the rear subframe area, which has been documented in the extensive invoice folder and a photograph of this invoice shown in the gallery below
  • The most recent MoT took place on 05 January 2023, resulting in a clean pass with no advisory items at 98,403 miles

Summary

For those looking for a continent-crushing family wagon with style, pace and practicality, you can’t go far wrong with an Alpina. Those that know will give you a respectful nod or comment, whilst those that are blissfully unaware will simply pass your car by, which is all part of the appeal of these ‘skunkworks’ Alpina models.
Offered for sale from cherished ownership and with both and outstanding factory specification and almost ridiculously well-stocked history folder, this is an opportunity not to be missed by anyone looking for a retro-cool family car, or any Alpina enthusiasts.

Ammontare dell'offerta Incremento
Da £0 a £9,999 £100.00
Da £10,000 a £49,999 £250.00
Da £50,000 a £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Superamento immediato dell'offerta
