THE APPEAL

They don’t come along this rare very often! This is a 1999 Aston Martin DB7 Alfred Dunhill edition. Initially, there were going to be 150 Dunhill models produced in coupé or convertible options. The numbers stopped at 78 due to people wanting to purchase the V12 model, which meant out of the 78, just 25 were coupés, so we could say the coupé can be described as a rare model. However, it doesn’t stop there. Out of the 25 produced, just five of those cars had a manual gearbox, and yes, this is one of those five. Now that we have your attention, please read on to find out more about this lovely DB7.
The DB7 has covered just over 86,000 miles in 24 years, and we are pleased to say that alongside the Aston's excellent condition, the service history has also been meticulously maintained, with 21 service stamps from main dealers or Aston Martin specialists.

THE INTERIOR

  • Charcoal Connally hide seats
  • Alfred Dunhill instruments and clock
  • Modern-looking silver trim
  • Kenwood head-unit and CD multi-changer
Open the door of the Aston, and you are greeted with the wonderful Charcoal leather trim with silver piping, which is in excellent condition; there is a tiny amount of colour wear to the edge of the driver's seat base, but this is in keeping with the age and mileage of the DB7. The door cards are also in good order, with no noticeable scuffs or marks. The rear seats don’t look to have been sat in more than a handful of times; therefore in superb condition.
The dashboard is finished in black leather and shows no signs of any damage. Sitting behind the wheel, the instruments have the Alfred Dunhill name to the centres and are all in good order with no apparent scratches to the faces. There are no warning lights when the engine is running, and the odometer shows a reading of 86,497 miles. To the middle of the dashboard, the centre section is finished in brushed aluminium, with another touch of Alfred Dunhill for the clock, based on the Millennium Dunhill watch case. The switchgear is all reported to be working correctly and shows no signs of excessive wear, and there is a Kenwood head-unit fitted connected to a boot-mounted CD changer.
The carpets within the cabin are excellent, and there is a set of factory Alfred Dunhill fitted mats, which are also in good condition. Inside the boot also presents well, with the spare wheel, warning triangle, jack and wheel brace present.

THE EXTERIOR

  • Finished in Dunhill Silver, unique to this model
  • Presented extremely well
  • The wheels are in excellent condition
A fantastic-looking car and in the right colour. The DB7 presents extremely well, having been garaged and covered for the past ten years by the current owner, who has only used the car for shows and sunny days; this has kept the DB7 in fantastic condition.
Starting at the front of the car, the headlights are in good condition with no obvious chips or scratches to the lenses, and just below, the indicators and fog lights are also in good order with no splits or cracks. Being the model it is, there was a special colour grille fitted, and the bumper itself has a couple of small stone chips, as you would expect. Some paint may have been applied to the bumper and front edges of the wings at some point, but this would have been over ten years ago, as it’s not been done with the current owner.
Looking to the sides, the door shut lines are equal, and there are no dings or dents to see. The windows are in good condition with no scratches, and the seals look in good order with no perishing.
To the rear end, everything is nice and straight; the lights are in good condition with no splits, and the badges are in good order. The wheels are finished in anthracite and are in excellent condition. The centre caps have been designed uniquely to represent a Dunhill watch case. There is a small amount of tarnishing to the Aston Martin badges, but nothing too excessive. The tyres are matching and have had some miles on them, but there is a good amount of tread remaining.

THE MECHANICS

  • 3.2 litre Supercharged 32 valve inline-6
  • One of five manual models
  • Well maintained
  • Stainless steel exhaust

336bhp is produced from the fantastic supercharged 3.2 litre inline-6; this is capable of launching the DB7 from 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 161 mph.

The car fires up without hesitation and comes to a smooth idle with no untoward noises coming from the engine bay. Looking in the bay, there are no signs of any leaks, and everything looks in good order.

The five-speed gearbox is reported to have a smooth change. The clutch is said to be a little heavy, but apparently, this is a common trait on any Aston of this age.

Looking at the underside, the vendor reports that the DB7 was factory undersealed, and this all looks to be in good order. You will also spot the stainless steel exhaust, which should give some peace of mind that it shouldn’t need replacing any time soon.

The brake discs look to be in good condition, with no excessive lip to the edge of the discs. These pull the car to a stop in a straight line with no juddering coming through the pedal.

Ammontare dell'offerta Incremento
Da £0 a £9,999 £100.00
Da £10,000 a £49,999 £250.00
Da £50,000 a £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Superamento immediato dell'offerta
