Produced from 1954 to the present day, the SL-Class is without a doubt one of Mercedes-Benz’s longest-standing champions, known for its luxurious, performance-oriented grand tourers. The SL55 sits towards the very top of the R230 generation, boasting a supercharged 5.4L V8, luxurious comforts as far as the eye can see, and iconic Mercedes-Benz styling.
This sleek AMG has been enjoyed by just 2 former keepers, which in itself is surely a testament to just how enjoyable this machine truly is. In addition to boasting such a low owner count, this SL55 also comes with extensive history, reflecting incredibly attentive maintenance, and considerable expense along the way.

All in all, the cabin offers fantastic levels of comfort and technology, with only light signs of wear to note. Perhaps most notable, is wear to the driver’s seat side bolster, and wear near the central hazard light switch. That said, these hardly detract from the overall comfort and function of the interior
Showcases Obsidian Black paintwork, which presents itself in fair condition with a small handful of the expected age-related defects. These include faded clear coat in areas, slight surface rust to the N/S/R quarter, and a scratch on the N/S/F wing
Equipped with the AMG styling package, which further expands on the subtle yet sporty styling of the SL55
Equipped with the factory specified 18” five-spoke AMG alloy wheels, with plenty of tyre tread left to enjoy. As the images reflect, the wheels show light signs of age, although a professional refurbishment will no doubt yield spectacular results if desired
Overall, the exterior of this SL55 AMG offers a perfectly usable finish, with only the expected signs of age now beginning to show. That said, the incredible performance of this mighty machine tends to alleviate any aesthetic faults
