Back in the mid-90s to early 00s, Sundays for most of us was a day of relaxing, spending time with the family and preparing that all-important roast dinner. As the afternoon came, and the potatoes were crisping up in the oven, violent noises of fierce acceleration and whining tubes filled the silence. The World Rally Championships became a regular showing on British TV, showcasing borderline impossible driving in the most capable and outrageous cars, one of which was the infamous blue Subaru Impreza.
Arguably one of the most famous rally cars from that era the Impreza tore through terrains, taking home a record 46 championships and becoming one of the most formidable cars ever to have rallied. Its popularity soon saw Subaru bring a rally-influenced WRX model to the market with aggressive styling, all-wheel-drive technology and turbocharged engines.
These powerful, impressive cars became a sought-after option for enthusiasts across the globe with many here in the UK choosing to modify and replicate the famous blue rally car, as such original, unmolested versions can be hard to come by. This 2004 WRX however has resisted garish aesthetic modifications, still showcasing its factory good looks and has been tastefully modified to impact the performance more than its appearance. The car is in fantastic condition, with only the smallest blemishes visible, benefiting from recent professional detailing and mechanical maintenance.
