The Appeal
Enthusiasts had a sixteen-year wait, but it was worth it. The return of the M badge on a 6-Series car was a triumph, mixing distinctive Chris Bangle styling with BMW’s clever - and first ever - V10 500bhp powerplant.
With many E63 M6s having led hard or unloved lives, this 2006 car is something quite different. Finished in rare and very attractive Indianapolis Rot metallic - the vendor states it is one of 35 - it has covered just 46,500 miles from new and presents very well. Clearly, the current and previous keepers have cherished this car. The Schwartz ‘Merino’ leather cabin with its carbon fibre trim looks barely used.
The thick history file supports the sense of a well-loved car. The vendor states that the car has had £15,000-£20,000 spent on it in the last 10 years. There are invoices from respected names like Munich Legends, Everything M3 and Redish Motorsport. The vendor tells us that the key S63 maintenance areas have been attended to including rod bearings, clutch, flywheel, VANOS pump and SMG pump. The service history shows a run of regular attention up to December 2025 at 45,876 miles. The current MOT underlines the point - it runs to March 2027 with no advisories.
This is a really tidy, hugely capable sporting GT. These cars are garnering increased interest, and with their specification, low miles and maintenance history, this one warrants serious consideration.
The vendor says:
“This is a genuinely exceptional example of the E63 M6. Finished in Indianapolis Rot Metallic, it is an extremely rare car — with only around 35 red M6s registered in the UK across all variants, and far fewer Indianapolis Rot coupes. Combined with the low mileage, extensive preventative maintenance, BMW warranty eligibility, and superb overall condition, this represents one of the stronger examples currently available. The driving experience is what makes these cars so special: a naturally aspirated V10, hydraulic steering and a raw analogue feel that modern performance cars simply cannot replicate. Well-maintained examples of the E63 M6 are already becoming increasingly sought after, and this car represents a fantastic opportunity to own a very special example of BMW M’s V10 era.”

“I purchased the car as a carefully maintained example and have continued to look after it to a very high standard during my ownership. The car has covered just 46,000 miles and comes with a full and extensive service history supported by a large folder of invoices and documentation. Both myself and the previous owner have maintained the car fastidiously. The previous owner was particularly meticulous, with invoices showing over £500 spent at BMW simply replacing interior switches to keep the cabin looking fresh and original.
"The interior condition reflects this level of care and remains in superb condition today. The history file is extensive, and the invoices alone for maintenance and preventative work are likely close to £15,000–£20,000 over the last 10 years. "Importantly, the major preventative maintenance items associated with the S85 V10 platform have already been addressed by highly regarded BMW M specialists Redish Motorsport and EverythingM3s. . The car has been covered under BMW Insured Warranty since 2017, which remains active and can be continued by the next owner. It has also just passed its most recent MOT with zero advisories, reflecting the overall condition and level of care the car has received.

The vendor says:
“The car presents beautifully in Indianapolis Rot Metallic, widely regarded as the launch colour for the E63 M6 and one of the most desirable colours for the model. The paintwork has been professionally machine-polished and ceramic-coated during my ownership, giving the car exceptional gloss and depth of finish. The bodywork is extremely straight and the car looks fantastic both in person and in photographs. The car sits on Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round with approximately 4–5mm of tread remaining. Overall the exterior condition is excellent and the car consistently receives compliments on both its presentation and the striking colour.
“The interior is in superb condition and entirely consistent with the low mileage. The cabin features desirable carbon interior trim along with factory options including Head-Up Display, Premium Hi-Fi sound system, heated seats, cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Everything inside the car works exactly as intended, including all switchgear, electronics and instruments. As mentioned previously, invoices show the previous owner spent over £500 at BMW replacing interior switches purely to keep the cabin looking as fresh as possible. The car also benefits from an upgraded touchscreen head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which modernises the usability of the car considerably. The unit fits directly into the factory location, retains all original functionality, and the original head unit will also be included in the sale. The overall interior condition speaks for itself in the photos.”
