Produced by Healey Designs, the Enigma is a very interesting vehicle. The Enigma utilizes the ever-reliable Mazda MX5 as the base for the car, with a bespoke chassis and stylish GRP bodywork. This combination results in the reliability and performance of Mazda’s flagship sports car, with the class and attention to detail of a hand-built car.

This Enigma is rather significant, as built by the current owner as the first Mk3 Healey Enigma kit, with support from the factory. The car utilises a low mileage Mazda MX5 NC as the donor for the project, which had just 39,000 miles on the clock.

The interior of this unique kit car is in fantastic condition, and as a result of its creator’s attention to detail, sports a few custom touches.
Although the Enigma is hardly a common vehicle, the current owner chose to stand out from the crowd and installed custom red and cream upholstery. The result is a fantastically eye-catching interior that suits both the sporty and classy nature of the car.
As expected given how little the car has been driven since being built, both front seats are in excellent condition, showing no signs of wear. The door cards and carpet follow suit, as do the steering wheel, gear gaiter, dashboard, dials, and all controls.

A sleek bonnet scoop, vented front panels and sweeping lines give the Enigma a very sporty appearance, with the rear of the vehicle paying homage to the Austin Healey 3000. Packed with curvy lines and bold styling, the Enigma is a modern road vehicle with buckets of classic character.
This particular Enigma is in fantastic condition and shows off its grey paintwork very well. With only a few minor defects in the paintwork, the car presents well and boasts what is surely one of the finest kit car finishes. Headlights, tail lights, trim pieces, and details follow suit, showing no signs of damage or age.
Being a convertible, the mohair soft top is, of course, one of the main features we’re interested in. Fortunately, the roof is in great condition, with no rips or tears.
The car sits comfortably on a set of 18” Team Dynamics Monza R wheels, which fill the arches very well and only add to the car’s sporty stance. The wheels are wrapped in a set of Maxxis VS01 with plenty of tread left for the lucky new owner to enjoy.
