Thanks to the wonders of modern simulator technology, it is now possible to sit in a genuine Lotus 22 cockpit and drive round your racetrack of choice, all from the comfort of your living room.
Here we have a Lotus 22 Race Simulator built using genuine, period Lotus 22 parts which include the bodyshell, seat and windscreen. It features some of the latest gaming technology all of which we’re informed is compatible and optimised for all major simulator software and supports VR headset technology.
The tech includes a 49”, 100R curvature Samsung Odyssey G9 Monitor and Fanatec equipment including a CSL Elite base, Load Cell brake and Clubsport shifter. The simulator is powered by a gaming PC with 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Graphics Card and Intel Core i5 processor.
The really clever bit is the fact that all this simulator equipment works in harmony with genuine and period-correct parts. A custom-built replica chassis, steering and gearbox linkages replicate the look, feel and function of the 1960s open-wheel race cars.

The Condition
Recently repainted in the iconic Lotus 22 colours, the bodywork has recently been refinished to a high standard.
The aforementioned period parts such as the wrap-around windscreen, ‘bullet’ wing mirrors and genuine seat all look to be in very good condition. Before the driver, the replica dashboard is new and therefore in excellent shape. The instruments really complete the look as well. There are no wheels or any other part of the car behind the driver so the whole simulator is actually quite compact
