This very cool Mercedes is a fresh USA import, and is an ideal base for restoration or running as a retro car with a lot of patina and character. All duties and VAT have been paid and import paperwork completed. This car is ready to register and enjoy or restore. Packed with character, lots of originality and a brilliant retro feel.
The History and Paperwork

- The vehicle is a USA specification car and has spent its life in Maryland, USA before being imported
- It currently has a USA title and European import documents
- Lots of receipts for work and servicing carried out in the USA
- Original service book, Pre-delivery inspection and warranty documentation from a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Marlow Heights, MD
- Mileage over the years has been well reported and the car appears to have a genuine 186,061 miles, which may sound a lot, however these engines were very low-stress and it should have plenty more miles left in it with proper care and servicing going forwards
- The vendor notes that this car requires some mechanical attention before it can be enjoyed
The Interior
- Interior appears to be complete
- It does have blemishes and defects, including (dried out) cracks in the dashboard leather, peeling wood trim and needs a very good clean, however it is an ideal candidate for restoration
- Attractive grey leather, with some damage to the driver's bolster
- The carpets are all present and are in moderate condition, requiring a good clean
- Included is the original safety equipment and first-aid kit which is a nice touch
- Full size spare is present
- This interior is very retro and is an excellent example of the colour schemes and feel of the era, a nice original example of the marque with character by the bucket-load

- The paint is colour 122 Pearl Grey Metallic.
- A very cool car, the lovely Mercedes SL shape is sure to please and it is wearing a very nice patina on the grey paint
- The brightwork and trims carry the same original feel and patina as the rest of the vehicle
- All of the exterior glass appears to be free of any major blemishes or cracks and are in nice original condition
- The square under-bumper driving lamps look very imposing and complete the retro looks perfectly
