The Chev was rescued in the early 1970`s and went through a robust restoration and for a couple of years attended local vintage & steam rallies winning top prize mot of the time.
In 1973 the truck entered the London to Brighton run which it completed without a hitch,
From then on in (the mid 1970`s) it languished in a shed for 50 odd years until bought by myself a few years back.
It was beginning to be brought back to life but due to circumstances it is now for sale.
There are a few jobs still to be done to get a spark. The truck stood on the tyres with no air so are cracked and will need replacing.
A couple of weeks work would get this very rare and desirable truck back on the road again,
Any inspection welcome - 10 minutes from J22/ 23 M5 Somerset.
This truck was fully restored in the early 1970 with 2000 miles on the clock. Actual is that it had completed 102000 miles prior to the restoration and it now is just over 2000 miles hence little mileage since the 1970`s restoration.
