motodrome offer for sale this very late, low owner, classic SAAB 900 - a 1993 900S turbo 16 convertible, with manual transmission.
Finished in Nocturne Blue metallic with full grey leather trim.
First registered at the end of June 1993, so some 2 months after 900 classic production ended, probably making it one of the last cars.
Like almost all late classic 900’s (except the Ruby) this one left the factory in LPT spec, with 144bhp from the turbo 16v motor
Fitted with electric hood/ windows/ mirrors, full leather, ABS, cruise control (which still works) central locking, and headlamp wash/ wipe, and alloys
Also fitted with a more modern Pioneer radio/ CD with USB port.
We also have the rare hood cover which stows in the boot. The hood itself was replaced with new in 2005
The V5 shows just 3 previous owners, and it’s been in one family ownership since 2000 – wife 2000-2011, and upon her death in 2011, her husband thereafter.
Odometer reading just 126000 miles (these are more than capable of starship mileages) and comes with excellent history including original stamped service book with stamps up to 114857m, a big sheaf of bills, and old MOT’s back to 2000. We also have the owners manual
In 2016, at 121483m following a period of storage, it underwent £6500. 00 of recommissioning work by a SAAB specialist, including all fluids changed, new brakes and shocks all round, the fitting of a MAPTUN exhaust system, and a repaint in the original colour.
It’s recently come out of our workshop following a major programme of structural repairs, which have been done to an excellent standard, and hence now comes with MOT to the end of September 2023 (no advisories) and 6 months warranty on sale.
An utterly characterful car, from the days when SAAB did things just that little bit differently, these are now becoming quite rare, and very desirable.
