This is a very special Lotus S1 Exige. What makes it special is the fact that it has just 1 previous owner and covered only 8000 miles from new and is almost entirely original. Just some small cosmetic parts have been changed and the original items are supplied.
It is in unmarked condition, with no stone chips or damage. The interior looks like new, as do the front service compartment and rear engine bay.
The vehicle was purchased on 7th September 2000 by Mr S Mitchell from Lotus Aberdeen. Lotus Aberdeen carried out the pre delivery inspection at that time and then the first service (with free labour) a month later, with 972 miles having been covered.
In February 2001, the 190bhp upgrade and sports exhaust were fitted by Lotus Edinburgh at 3276 miles. They subsequently serviced it twice and fitted new discs and pads, along with front dampers.
The Exige was then sold in January 2004 to Mr W Clark, by Adrian Blythe who also serviced it at that time.
Mr Clark then put the car into storage where it remained until September 2024. It was brought out only for servicing and the odd MOT. During that time, it covered only 2883 miles.
The V5 still shows just 1 previous keeper and all service history and paperwork is present.
As part of sales preparation, outlander has had the Exige serviced by Lotus Glasgow and fitted a new set of Yokohama AD08RStyres, light weight grooved discs with alloy bells, mintex brake pads and had a new MOT carried out.
outlander has also fitted a new black motorsport rear diffuser, but the original item is included.
This is an outstanding S1 Exige. Given that just 604 of these cars were produced and that a good portion of them were either tracked, modified extensively, had Audi/ Honda engines fitted, or crashed, this is a very unique opportunity to acquire the definitive Lotus.
