The appeal

Even the most seasoned American car enthusiast may not be familiar with the Pontiac Grand Ville Cabriolet. During its short four-year production run, around 5,000 were built each year, except in 1971 when only 1,800 were produced.

This is one of those 1,800 examples. As the photographs show, it is in very original and well-preserved condition. The vendor acquired it in 2019 and has since carried out a good deal of work to pass MOT and bring it up to a high standard. This includes the fitting of a new soft top and work to the brakes, suspension and steering.

Having now acquired another American classic, the vendor does not have enough space to keep both vehicles, so the Pontiac is reluctantly offered for sale.

Condition

The seller informs us that the car is in original condition with only minor imperfections and rust spots.
The Pontiac presents extremely well in all photographs, with elegant bodywork, roof and interior.
We also note some superficial marks and a slight patina consistent with age; the vendor comments that perfectionists may wish to repaint the bodywork.
Partially restored interior with minimal wear and no obvious modifications to report
We are not aware of any known problems with the interior's electrical equipment.
