The Appeal

The Land Rover Defender 90 is an iconic British off-roader known for its rugged capability, utilitarian design, and go-anywhere attitude. This 1992 2.5 DSL Turbo DI Hard Top represents the model in its most authentic form - purposeful, dependable, and built to last.

There's a real go-anywhere, do-anything attitude here - an all-weather vehicle with snorkel, fold-down seats to the rear and a handsome livery that suits it to the ground. It's boasted an interesting history, having previously been provided for film sets and television suits as a background vehicle.

It's nicely kept with a good working patina and an impressive paperwork file, and a fresh, advisory-free MOT.

The vendor says:

"This Defender drives incredibly well. We live in the countryside and have enjoyed driving carefully over various dirt roads and tracks, we have also used for leisure and driven at higher speeds on A roads. Our young children love sitting in the back on adventures and this car handily has two front facing rear seats, which can be folded away to increase space in the rear.

In our tenure we have driven just over 2000 miles in 4 years, hence very low use and there's plenty, I mean plenty of life in these machines."

Minor corrosion on chassis (nearside front) - noted by mechanic as minor and of no serious concern

Crack in plastic dashboard (could be replaced - a pretty inexpensive item to source)
All instruments in working order
Scuffs and occasional damage to some of the trim and seats, though nothing overly intrusive
Rear benches replaced with matting and two fold-down rear forward-facing seats
Stereo fitted, with speakers in the roof
New seatbelts fitted
Wipers recently adjusted
