The Appeal
The marriage of Volkswagen’s T4 and Westfalia delivers one of the best campers of recent times. These are exceptionally versatile and reliable vans with a very strong following.
This 1995 California Exclusive is a particularly good example. That is down to the cosmetic and mechanical condition and the very high specification. The pretty light green metallic paintwork has recently been refreshed, and the smart ‘Cactus’ interior has been similarly overhauled.
The van has been regularly used but there are no obvious signs of that or its 30 years. Recent mechanical work includes a new clutch, timing belt and water pump. There is also a new solar panel and battery. We are told that everything works. The last inspection was in January 2025 with no advisories and the technical inspection certificate runs to September 2025.
A good Westfalia is all about condition and specification. This one firmly scores on both points.
