The Appeal

While the 997 was still a water-cooled Porsche that offset purist expectations, the car reintroduced the classic bug-eye headlights and offered a bit of a styling tonic for their dedicated audience. It was a fine tribute to decades of Porsche past and present, and is often seen as the company's 21st-century highlight.

Characterful engines, sleek styling, and—of course—being faster than its predecessor all made it a real standout. Thanks to the huge success of its bandmate, the Cayenne, everything was given a generous budget, too: the cabin was more comfortable, the suspension improved, and the build quality was to Stuttgart's highest standard. So, full points all round.

This example has driven only 6,000 miles in its current 4-year ownership, and has been kept right up to date for maintenance and servicing - indeed, the next service isn't necessary until Spring 2026. It's completely factory standard, comes with two sets of wheels and is ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper.
