The Attractions
Such is the cheeky character of Fiat’s original city car that it’s better known by its nickname than its official name. Looking at this lovely ‘Little Mouse’ Topolino you can see exactly why that name stuck.
It is a highly original and beautifully presented example, finished in tasteful brown and black outside with a complementary beige fabric interior. As part of the Forgione classic car collection it carries reassuring provenance. Snr Forgione’s cars have all been well maintained to a high standard. He used them sparingly and carefully garaged them when not in use.
This car is a very early 500 and a desirable ‘A’ model with the 13bhp verison of the 569cc engine. It carries ASI Targa Oro certification to further underline the condition and provenance.

Condition
- Highly original car with two-tone brown and black paintwork
- The age of the paintwork results in a slight deterioration visible in the photographs
- Solid, well maintained bodywork with good panel alignment
- Fully openable vinyl roof in good condition with some slight marks on the interior lining
- Fitted with the correct steel wheels with black finish and red profiles
- Original chrome plating presents itself well, with some slight traces of oxidation
- Underbody in good condition as documented by the photographs
- Pleasant unmodified interior with beige fabric upholstery
- Seats and door panels appear to be in very good condition
- We have been told that the original Metron instruments are working properly
- Rubber floor mats and original three-spoke steering wheel
This characterful little car is delightful. The brown and black colour scheme appears to be an older restoration, one that has gently aged to add extra charisma to this lovely classic. It is factory correct and unmodified and sits on black wheels with careful red pinstriping.
The interior is a feast of original features. The full length folding roof is in good order while the beige fabric seats and door cards are well trimmed and in very good condition.

The 13bhp Model A was the earliest version of Fiat’s new city runaround. That makes it amongst the most desirable versions. This is a very early car, which further increases the appeal.
It has been checked over by the Forgione Collection’s mechanic and is reported to be in very good condition. This is perhaps hardly surprising as Snr Forgione was an enthusiast and ensured that his cars were well looked after, properly stored and regularly used.
