The Sculpture
Here we present a rare opportunity to acquire a Limited Edition, hand-made ‘Compulsion Gallery’ metallic sculpture of the famous 1938 Mercedes-Benz W125 'flying kilometer' V12 Streamliner
The experimental V12-engined, 755 hp car, was piloted by European Drivers' Championship winner Rudolf Caracciola. It set a record of 432.7 km/h / 268.9 mph over the flying kilometer on 28th January in 1938. The run was made on an Autobahn near Frankfurt and still remains the fastest ever officially timed speed on a public road
Beyond its remarkable achievement, the Streamliner Mercedes had phenomenal presence, having been based upon the all-conquering W125 Silver Arrow and engineered for minimal drag. The original record-breaking car is now displayed, most impressively, on a vertical wall, at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany
- No. 1088 / 3000
- Declared an authentic representation of the original vehicle and approved by the Mercedes-Benz Museum

- Original '100 years of Mercedes-Benz motoring' CD screen and desktop wallpaper, included
Sculpture weight circa 16kg. Approximate dimensions: 67cm (L) x 21cm (W) x 14cm (H)
