The Background
From land to water, Donald Healey became one of the very few automobile manufacturers to promote a boat under his own name and brand, with the Healey Marine 707 being the most exclusive sports boat he ever produced.

The History
This particular slice of maritime history has been treated to a full, 100% period correct restoration in 2007 and the results speak for themselves with the current owner describing the condition as concours and fully working.
The Interior
The moulded perspex windscreen and close-coupled seating area forward of the engine are in great shape and the seats present well. The dashboard, steering wheel and all gauges are in top condition with no signs of any weathering or sun damage.

The Exterior
The one-piece, reinforced fibreglass hull retains it's baby blue pigment and appears to be in top shape throughout with no visible damage. All of the various bright work is highly polished and looks great and the restoration work was obviously completed to a high standard. With no external propeller or rudder to worry about the boat maintains a clean silhouette.
The Mechanics
The Austin Healey engine is well-presented overall and looks clean. The three carburettors are all present and correct and the six-cylinder, 118bhp motor has clearly been well-maintained.
The Appeal
The 707 was named after the popular Boeing jet of the time and was the only Healey Marine boat to use the 'Jet Drive' propulsion method. A revered classic in the marine world the 707 is an exciting and prized sports boat that is now a highly sought-after collectible.
