THE APPEAL
Produced from 1957 to 1975, the Fiat 500 is one of the most beloved and collected small cars in the world, celebrated by thousands of clubs and very popular rallies.
Launched in 1965 and built until 1968, the 500 F represented an important evolutionary step in the long history of the 500, adopting front-hinged doors, a larger windscreen, updated finishes and introducing a few mechanicals improvements including a more powerful 18 hp engine.
At the same time, the F retains some nice features of the first series, both on the outside, with the simple chrome wraparound bumpers and the original FIAT front shield, and on the inside, with the attractive original metal dashboard, lovely two-tone seats and the old-fashioned instrument panel with a single large Veglia Borletti gauge.
Always carefully preserved and garaged, this 500 F has just received a meticulous professional restoration and appears in very nice shape.
We are told that during the restoration the bodywork, still in fair condition, was partially repaired, with the replacement of the front end outer and inner sheet metal and of the battery cradle.
The solid and rust-free undercarriage and fenders have been preserved and the entire car has been repainted both inside and outside in the original Aquamarine Blue color.
In the restored interior, the seats were dismantled and the frames cleaned and repainted before being covered with new padding and new two-tone sky upholstery.
The dashboard has been repainted and all interior components, apart from the original restored speedometer and steering wheel, are new.

The mechanics have been carefully overhauled, and the electrical system has been completely rewired.
