The Appeal

This 1976 Benelli Pasolini 350 replica is a unique find, believed to be the only one of its kind in the UK. It pays homage to legendary Italian motorcycle racer Renzo Pasolini, known for his aggressive riding style and his association with Italy's second oldest motorcycle manufacturer, Benelli.

This particular motorcycle was imported from Italy in 2014, where it was used for street displays, shows and race day parades. It has been finished in the correct Pasolini colours of mint green and white alloy, with a black-painted frame, making it an accurate recreation of those used by Pasolini in period.

History and Paperwork

• The UK Benelli club have provisionally confirmed the frame was built in 1981 and the engine in 1976
• Most Pasolini replicas are based on the 500 model - making this 350 something of a rarity
• Purchased in 2014 directly from Italy
• Believed to be based on the Benelli 354 sport
• Never ridden while in current ownership 
• Serviced last year, but not used since

The Condition

• Finished in the correct Pasolini colours of mint green and white alloy with a black-painted frame
• The frame and fairing are both very tidy
• The screen remains clear and in good overall condition
• Dry-stored and so free from any signs of corrosion or UV deterioration

The Mechanics

• 350cc transverse four-cylinder engine
• Five-speed gearbox
• Having remained un-ridden for several years, it would benefit from a carburettor and ignition overhaul
• No known mechanical faults
• New spark plugs, engine oil and filter changed this year, along with coils and HT leads
• New battery fitted
• The engine has only been run for short periods due to noise limitations in a small village
