The Appeal

This attractive Glacier White ‘72 B has led an interesting, international life. It was ordered as a ‘personal export’ car in RHD and despatched to South Africa, where it remained enjoying the dry climate until 1991. It returned to the UK at that point and has had just five keepers since.

The original factory KPH speedometer has been replaced with an MPH unit. The vendor tells us that the total mileage is 29,150, which isn’t verified, but the condition seen in the photos could support that. It is a tidy car that is is nicely detailed with chrome Rostyles and a good condition vinyl roof. It is said to run and drive well. The paintwork and body show a few points, but the useful voluntary MOT indicates the structure is sound.

The car comes with a large, well-organised history file including a BMIHT certificate and various books and workshop manuals. Few classics are as simple and easy to own as a B and this chrome bumper car looks very tidy.

“Car runs PERFRECTLY. No mechanical issues whatsoever. Was serviced by MG specialist in December and had the brakes fully replaced. Flew through MOT

“Lovely to drive. No mechanical issues. Starts everytime and runs super smoothly. Bodywork needs a little work to make it perfect. Comes with a full body outdoor cover and lots of roof covers, tonneau cover etc as well as a detachable hard top which would need to be collected from KT6 postcode.”
