The Appeal
Any Corvette is covetable, but there’s a strong case to argue that the C3 is the definitive version. As this anniversary-year model shows, the classic ‘coke bottle’ styling has barely aged and is as distinctive and evocative as the E-Type.
The vendor acquired this car last year for a lengthy European road trip. In preparation, he expended considerable sums to improve the aesthetics and mechanics. Work included a full professional £4,500 respray plus engine, transmission, axle and brake servicing work. The car received new callipers, brake hoses, spark plugs and fluids. It is supplied with a new starter motor and door rubbers for the buyer to fit as required. It has been converted to digital dials and gauges, which work correctly as shown in the photos.
The car is MOT exempt but has the benefit of a recent MOT test that gives transparency for the buyer. A fine example of the classic C3 with lots of recent work for the buyer to build on.
The vendor says:
“This is a piece of art on wheels. It’s a nice and comfortable drive and yet feels sporty due to its low weight, big engine and reasonably compact size.”
