The Appeal
The Karmann-built Beetle Convertible is one of the most desirable variants of Volkswagen's iconic people's car. Sure, the Beetle is already the stuff of legend - but Karmann undeniably pumped a decent budget into their convertibles, and by most accounts the Karmann Convertibles are simply the more durable, comfortable car compared to their austere basis.
A good example is something to be prized, and while they're highly clamoured for, they're still a very affordable, reliable and easy-to-maintain classic. The sort of car nobody would pass up, really!
This particular '78 car has been in the same family from new, and underwent a comprehensive spot of reconditioning work in the 90s. Since then, it's been stored in a dry, private garage - and you can really tell. It's in superb order, ready and waiting to go.
