The Appeal

This example was previously owned by an enthusiasts club member, and was used and enjoyed as intended, with plenty of memorabilia included with the car to substantiate this. Unfortunately, due to family commitments, the car was sold to the vendor, and now you have the chance of obtaining a classic Cobra replica in time for summer.

History/Paperwork

• V5C slip
• Extensive documentation, paperwork and history contained in a box file
• Rare hard top included, along with soft top and side screens
• Sold by previous keeper due to practicality issues and family taking priority, and the car is now offered for sale through the trade.
• 2x boxes of miscellaneous spares included

The Interior

• Classic Jaguar-esque dashboard
• No known faults or issues with any of the gauges or switches
• The interior as a whole would benefit from some attention, with the NS door card pocket having been ripped off, and the interior showing a fair level of wear-and-tear in general
• The bucket seats are in good condition with no visible damage or scuffs
• The steering wheel, shifter and other high-traffic areas such as the door shuts, catches and sill covers exhibit a commensurate usage patina. 
• The screens for the folding soft top are heavily clouded/UV damaged

The Exterior

• Finished in the classic shade of British Racing Green, which remains in overall fair condition
• Iconic Cobra lines
• The bonnet panel is slightly skewed, and there are two dents visible on the front edge of the bonnet, as seen in the photographs below.
• Both doors require adjustment, with the driver’s door in particular fouling on the aperture when opening/closing
• The chrome bumper over-riders and other details exhibit a light commensurate patina in keeping with the car’s overall condition
• Elsewhere on the bodywork, there are a number of chips, imperfections and marks, which have been documented in the gallery below
• All four wheels are dulled and pitted, but hold air and are perfectly useable as they sit.

The Mechanicals

• 2.0-litre Ford Pinto inline-four
• Starts and runs well, but requires some gentle warming-up before it will idle by itself. 
• The engine bay is generally tidy, but would benefit from some love and TLC
• The block shows a misting of oil around the cam cover on the offside, as shown below
• There is no current MoT on the vehicle, but it is exempt by virtue of age
