The Appeal

Introduced to the market in 1971, the third-generation SL vehicles had rather large shoes to fill, following the success of the iconic Pagoda yielding W113. Fortunately, the new generation, named the R107, would prove to be incredibly popular, thanks to a host of new mechanical, comfort and styling tweaks. In fact, the R107 would later become one of Mercedes-Benz’s longest-running production models to date.

Within the legendary R107 lineup sits this 350SL, proudly sporting its European 3.5L V8 specification. This gorgeous Thistle Green SL benefits from an incredibly thorough restoration in 2013, receiving the likes of new sills, new bumpers, new floors, a new soft-top and plenty more. The restoration was carried out at great expense, also including a huge array of mechanical refurbishment and key maintenance.
