Have you ever wished to get behind the wheel of a thoroughbred German sports car? If you have then this 924 will offer that precise driving experience for a fraction of the cost of a new 911. This example has been cared for by the same owner since it was delivered back in 1984. They have always kept up to date with the cars servicing and there is a wealth of paperwork to prove this.

The History and Paperwork

• The current owner has had this car from 1984 
• It may show 1 previous owner on the logbook as it was in the name of their company first 
• Since 1984 this car has been enjoyed properly 
• For the first few years of its life, the car was used as a daily vehicle 
• As time went on the car was used as a weekend/golf car 
• Although not in regular use it has always been serviced annually 
• The last service was carried out in December 2022
• It also has a long MOT on it
• Within the paperwork bundle, there are some interesting letters 
• You’ll find some original correspondences from the dealer in 1984 
• There is also a comprehensive collection of original Porsche books and even stickers
• A lot of the original MOT certificates have been kept

The Interior

• Finished with high-end materials the interior is presented well for a car of its age 
• The leather seats look to be in good condition 
• There is a small repair patch to the base of the front passenger seat 
• You may also wish to get some leather cleaner on the rear seats to bring them back to life 
• Its plastic dashboard has been preserved well with no cracking present 
• In front of the driver is a simple three-spoke steering wheel 
• Presented in good and clean condition this steering wheel will direct you to some great memories 
• Behind the wheel are the recognisable Porsche dials 
• The interior has contrasting cream coloured carpets 
• Protected with a couple of over mats these carpets have been kept in good condition 
• In the centre console, you’ll find a more modern radio 
• There are also all of the heater controls and three VDO dials 
• In the roof is a tilting panel, tested on the day it works as it should 
• This panel can be removed, however, the owner said they have never done this during their ownership
• Towards the rear, you’ll find the large boot space 
• Trimmed in the same cream carpet it makes this sports car very practical indeed
• This is where you’ll also find the full-sized spare wheel
• Overall, the interior is in good condition 
• With a little spruce up it’ll be ready to enjoy fully

The Exterior 

• The lines of the Porsche 924 are instantly recognisable 
• Its wedge-shaped nose tapers into a curvaceous body culminating in that large glass rear boot lid 
• This example does have a few areas of age-related wear on the exterior 
• These include some fading to the paint on the bonnet and smaller areas on other panels 
• The latest MOT also picked up on corrosion that may need to be seen to before the next MOT
• With this area of corrosion dealt with you will have an excellent looking car
• Importantly all of the panels appear to be straight and original
• Another great feature is the car’s pop-up headlights 
• Working as they should, with no winking, they are a great design feature
• You may wish to spend some time getting this car back to its former glory, but it will be an eye-catching car for sure 

The Mechanics 

• Mechanically this Porsche 924 appears to be in good condition 
• You can see from all of the paperwork that it has been cared for properly 
• All of the MOTs will help prove the mileage is genuine 
• There have been thousands spent on this car over the years 
• It was recently serviced
• The car still requires to be run with lead additive in the super unleaded fuel
• You may also need to fit new gas bonnet struts 
• Its owner has definitely put a lot of attention into looking after it
