The Appeal

Having phased out convertibles in the mid-'70s, Chevrolet reintroduced the open-topped Corvette in 1986, and the car was chosen to pace the 70th Indianapolis 500 that year. As a result, Chevrolet made all its 1986 MY Corvette Convertibles special edition Pace Cars. The option added 5,000 dollars to the original purchase price; just 7,113 made from a total of over 35,000 Corvettes that year.

Here we have Pace Car number 1,782. Imported from Arizona, this Corvette is reportedly entirely corrosion-free and presents a striking appearance with its renewed soft top and very well-preserved red interior. The vehicle comes with a comprehensive Carfax report, instruction booklet, and all necessary documentation.
