With its sparking metallic black paint work and sumptuous cream leather cabin, this Turbo R is one of the ultimate super saloons, imposing and dramatic outside and as comfortable as the best hotel inside.

To our knowledge this Bentley has not needed any major work in its past, and with only three owners two are known as the car was previously owned by a good friend of the current keeper, gifting it to him on the occasion of a significant birthday - appropriately for a car of this nature, he is a Lord!
In the folder is a print out of the new car order sheet, showing the full factory spec as it was built, which is very much as it stands today.
The receipts show it has had plenty of regular maintenance to keep it running well, and it is MOT’d until October this year.
The owner loves driving the car and the reaction it gets, but an imminent move to a house without suitable parking means he reluctantly has to part with it.

The interior of a Bentley is the definition of luxury.
Open the door and the smell of leather and wood greets you, take a seat and feel your feet sink into the deep wool of the carpet mats, and all around is the finest wood money can buy, while the black dials of the instruments hint at Bentley’s vintage and sporting pedigree.

There is very little wear on the leather, just a slight patina on the front seats, and the wood of the dashboard has the deepest colour and gloss and is in beautiful condition, both here and on the door caps.
There is plenty of period technology on board, buttons for the electric memory seats are in the middle, there is an original Blaupunkt stereo, and in the arm rests we find an OKI car phone in one and a cradle for a later phone in the other - these haven’t been tried by the owner.

The carpet is in very good condition with hardly any wear, just a few marks here and there, and the headlining in excellent
In the boot the carpets are superb, and there is a power socket, installed from new to allow the first owner to run a fridge in the back on days out!
The Exterior

These cars always have incredible presence, but painted in metallic black this looks even more imposing, sinister even, and the dark paint makes the contrasting chrome of the grill, handles and other bright work stand out and sparkle all the more, and being a turbo R, it gets red ‘B’ badges.
The panels are unblemished with no dings in the flanks, there are only a couple of stone chips at the front and a chip on the edge of the scuttle.
There is a little surface bubbling at the bottom of the front wings below the bumper and in inside the lips of the wheel arches from stone chips, the mirrors also have some paint marks.

At the front the opaque side lights have been changed so look fresh, and the tail lights also look good.
The alloy wheels are excellent with virtually no marks and they have very good premium brand tyres all round.
The Mechanics

The engine bay shows us the powerful 330 bhp, 484 lb-ft V8 with its Bosch fuel injection.
It starts easily and the owner tells us the motor, gearbox and differential all run very well. There are no signs of fluid leaks around the engine, and looking under the car the floor pan appears to be in very good order.

Summary
This is a stunning example, and being a Red Label Turbo R has mighty performance.
The choice of colour gives it an edgy and dramatic feel and the condition is very good with only a few small marks on the exterior, while the interior is a wonderful place to be.
