This Ghibli 2 certainly represents the affirmative of that argument with a brilliant biturbo in-house engine and recognisable styling queues.
Having covered just 73,000km, all whilst being thoroughly well looked after, this is a wonderful example of the popular car. Indeed, it is said to run well and drive brilliantly. Visually, it is a car in great overall condition that is sure to attract attention on the road, despite being an extremely original model.

The Interior
Very welcoming interior specification
Stunning condition inside
A comfortable GT, this Maserati Ghibli’s interior reflects its main focus. Indeed, the cream leather and wood trim interior specification is certainly welcoming whilst the seats appear to be very plush.
Whilst the majority of leather upholstery looks to be in great condition, there is some wear to the driver’s seat and armrest in the form of creasing and cracking. However, these are far from alarming issues on a car of its age with an original interior.
Elsewhere, the door cards and dashboard look fantastic with no apparent sun damage. Wood trim provides great detail to the steering wheel, centre console and dash, all presenting in fantastic condition.
An elegant time piece on the dashboard provides a lovely centre piece to this classy interior whilst the Blaupunkt head unit is certain to provide good soundtracks to one’s longer journeys. Electric seats and windows cap off a modest interior, all of which reportedly works without issue. The vencor does however point out that the air conditioning will need regassing.
In the well-trimmed boot, one will spot the spare wheel, original jack and toolkit, which the vendor assures us is complete.
The Exterior

Muscular, aggressive character
With its boxy shape, aggressive front end and overall muscular demeanour, the Maserati Ghibli shape perfectly represents the Italian brand in period. In fact, the looks pair well with the in-house engine’s soundtrack. On this particular car, the bodywork looks to be straight and proper.
Decorating the design is a lovely coat of blue paint. Providing a subdued look to the car, it fits nicely with the car’s overall styling and is nicely contrasted by the silver alloy wheels. Whilst the car does look great overall, the vendor does point out some small signs of tree resin leaving its mark. A quick polish will most likely remove these issues whilst we are also lead to believe that some areas have been repainted in the past.
The car sits on a brand new set of tyres; Continentals on the rear and Tracmax on the front axle. Underneath, the car is reportedly clean having always been garage parked. Meanwhile, Maserati tridents adorn the car wonderfully.
The Mechanics
2-litre biturbo V6, 305hp

With a thick history folder full of invoices, previous inspection certificates and recorded mileage, it is clear that this Ghibli has been very well cared for throughout its life. And it shows in its mechanical condition.
Lift the bonnet and you will reveal a very presentable engine bay featuring the infamous Maserati embossed engine cover.
The vendor mentions that the 2-litre biturbo V6 under the bonnet runs like a charm, showing no leaks. With 305hp under the driver’s right foot, there is plenty of fun to be had at the wheel of this Italian GT. The manual six-speed box is also sure to add to the experience.
