This one has been built on a very sound base: a 1997 BMW Z3 2.8. The result is a classically styled sports car, naturally finished in red, that drives just as well as it looks. Perhaps even better than the factory Californias.
The Calfornia body panels bolt directly onto the Z3 chassis. We are told that this work was professionally done soon after this car left the factory. It has been used and enjoyed since, but very well maintained. This is a well executed and carefully detailed California replica that looks like a 60s car but drives like a modern classic.
