The Appeal
Few cars encapsulate the ‘classic’ TVR era quite like the Griffith. Handsome, swoopy styling hides quirky detailing while beneath the bonnet is a grunty TVR-tuned version of Rover’s venerable V8. You won’t find driver aids and nannying tech here - this is a car for drivers.
The final 500 got a 350bhp 5L version of that rumbly Rover V8 that could catapult driver and, likely fairly alarmed, passenger to 60mph from standstill in a shade over 4 seconds.
This very smart burgundy metallic 500 has covered less than 59,000 miles from new and comes to market with the reassurance of a full service history. The vendor acquired it in 2014 and has invested heavily, including a full respray in 2017, alloy wheel refurbishment in the same year, chassis drill and oil spray in 2020 and a new custom dashboard with engine-turned aluminium trim in 2023.
The car has covered barely 4,000 miles since all that work began, so continues to present at a high level. You can check that claim in the photos. It comes with a custom car cover and will be sold with a fresh 12 months MOT and service.
