The Appeal
XK8s have been ripe for the picking for a few years now meaning you can treat yourself to a slice of British V8 GT goodness for less than you might think and the XK8 remains a beautiful, fast and comfortable modern classic.
Arriving on the scene in 1996, the XK8 was a car born out of the need for something fresh and exciting from Jaguar to replace its ageing XJS and boy did they deliver. Fitted with an all-new 3,996cc 32-valve V8 engine with the best part of 300bhp and mated to a slick five-speed automatic transmission the XK8 definitely hit the spot.
Today it’s the kind of modern classic you can use every day, then take to a show at the weekend. It’s modern, but still with a classic charm. The XKR is still brutal, should you want more speed. And even if you don’t, the XK8 still commands plenty of respect.
This particular example is a tidy 1999 car presented in Anthracite Metallic paint complimented by Revolver five-spoke alloy wheels and a tasteful cream leather interior.
