Introduced to compete with the likes of BMW’s 5 Series, this generation of S-Type vehicles offers a fantastic balance of classy Jaguar styling, luxury comforts, and impressive performance. 

This particular example does Jaguar proud and presents itself in excellent condition both inside and out. 

Being one of the earlier models, this S-Type also packs the near-legendary 4L V8 and has plenty of power to play with.

This Jaguar has no doubt been enjoyed over the years, having spent considerable time with just 2 former keepers. 

The vehicle now shows 84,871 miles on the clock and is believed to have received the expected scheduled maintenance and servicing over the years.

Although not much paperwork is present with the car, a true testament to the car’s previous care is the condition and mechanical health presented today. 

Included with the vehicle, are original Jaguar handbooks, and the V5C document ready to sign over to the lucky new keeper. 

The interior of this gorgeous S-Type shows off a stylish mixture of both cream leather upholstery and wood trim pieces throughout. Despite the car’s age, the interior has been preserved rather well, and now only shows the expected signs of use. 

As you would perhaps expect, the driver’s seat does show the majority of the wear throughout the cabin, especially towards the base and lower bolster. The front passenger seat has clearly seen far less use, and instead only shows hairline cracking in the leather. 

The rear seats follow closely behind, and do show signs of wear and various marks, particularly near the centre armrest and headrests. 

Carpeting and headliner throughout the cabin has seemingly been well cared for, although carpeting and floor mats would no doubt benefit from a thorough detail. Although the headliner shows only incredibly minor marks, there are a few splits to note with the front sun visors, although this is likely simply due to the age of the vehicle. 

It should also be noted that whilst the majority of interior trim pieces and wooden details are in great condition for their age, there are a couple of defects to be aware of. 

On the passenger’s side dashboard, you’ll notice a small crack in the wooden trim near the Jaguar badge. There is also a crack in the front left corner of the dashboard, as shown in the included images. 

That being said, both marks are out of the driver’s eye-line and don’t detract from how comfortable and pleasant the interior truly is. 

This Jaguar looks brilliant for its age and shows off what is believed to be an original exterior finish. 

The sleek black paintwork perfectly suits the unsuspecting nature of the V8 S-Type, and pairs beautifully with the chrome detailing and cream interior for a very classy aesthetic. 

As the vehicle has of course been used as intended over the years, there will be minor defects noticeable around the exterior of the vehicle. The majority of these can be found towards the front end, which shows a number of stone chips and marks in keeping with the vehicle’s age and mileage.

There are also minor chips to the lower sections of the car, a small patch of surface corrosion to the bottom of the front left wheel arch, along with minor marks and bubbles along the arches. Otherwise, the vehicle’s paintwork has seemingly been preserved rather well. 

The vehicle currently sits on an aftermarket set of 18” alloy wheels, which fill the arches well and offer a dash of sporty styling to the vehicle. The wheels are in fair condition, albeit showing minor curbing and some stubborn brake dust. The wheels are wrapped in a mixed set of tyres, including 2 Pirelli Cinturato, and show enough tread for the new owner to enjoy.

The 4L AJ-8 V8 hiding under the bonnet of this S-Type has earned a near legendary reputation over the years. 

This diverse power plant offers more than enough power to party, and is widely renowned for its rugged capability and dependability. 

Buyers will be pleased to know that this particular example fires up and performs without fault, happily emitting a tasteful growl throughout the gears. 

This S-Type is more than capable of surprising modern traffic and offers buyers a very smooth and enjoyable driving experience out on the roads. 

This Jaguar S-Type offers the chance to enjoy a superb balance of V8 performance, classy Jaguar styling, and excellent comfort levels.
