Inside the Jaguar is in amazing condition, its status as a desirable model is reflected by the vast array of comfort options. Three-way electric memory seats, heated seats, multi function steering wheel, CD changer and more importantly, an electric sunroof.
We could see no signs of damage to either the Walnut veneer or the upholstery in the vehicle. The ivory white leather is still in fantastic condition. The driver’s seat does show signs of wear but nothing some leather conditioner and a bit of TLC won’t fix.
The extended space is flawless with nothing of concern to note.
We are informed that everything inside the Jaguar’s luxurious cabin works exactly as intended.
Finished in a stunning blue sapphire metallic paintwork, the Jag presents itself in exemplary condition with no signs of damage to the bodywork and no corrosion to be found anywhere on the vehicle. As to be expected, there are some marks from stone chips but nothing untoward.
The chrome trims placed around the vehicle are still looking just as they did back in 2002 and really highlight the essence of luxury around this vehicle. The wheels and tyres represent the vehicle to its fullest standard with no curb rash or corrosion to report.
The Sovereign is in great mechanical order. On opening the bonnet, it is apparent that the car has been looked after to no end with the engine bay presenting itself in the same fashion as the rest of the car, spotless.
The car runs and idles with absolute ease, the 4.0 V8 engine ticking over as smoothly as one would expect. The car was moved around on a few occasions and the gearbox functions smoothly with no crunching or grinding when selecting different drive modes.
This is very well kept example of a LWB XJ8. Over the 22 years since it was produced, it took an 11 year hiatus where it was tucked away in a garage totally unused.
Roll the car out into the sunlight and you can truly appreciate the beauty this XJ8 has. A great looking car that offers all the luxuries and performance that you could want.
