The Appeal
In the busy, buzzy world of late 90s and early Noughties mini hot hatches, the Polo was a breath of fresh air. More grown-up and better built than its British and French rivals, it was equally quick thanks to its 125bhp 16V 1.6L engine.
As this car shows, the Polo looked good too, with the GTI packaging featuring body colour body kit, BBS 15in alloys and a sports interior with distinctive seats. This 2001 car is a low-mileage and very rare survivor that remains pleasingly factory standard. It has been well looked after by its four keepers, including recent servicing and wheel refurbishment. The MOT runs to September 2026.
We suspect this very tidy GTI will appeal as a starter classic or perhaps as a distinctive daily driver.
