The Appeal
Independent German tuner TechArt Automobildesign GmbH has been customising Porsches since 1987, creating some of the best-looking and best-driving 911s of all time. The firm has worked closely with Porsche over the years and many of its cars are subject to TechArt modification straight after leaving the factory.
This 2002 996 Carrera 4 Cabriolet was subjected new to the TechArt treatment, gaining a sport exhaust, sport springs, performance kit, wheels and GT2 body kit. All invoices detailing the work accompany the car and are visible in the gallery below.
With just 39,123 miles on the clock and three former registered keepers, this Porsche remains in fantastic overall condition and retains almost all its original paintwork; only the lower section of the air dam has been carefully matched to remove a scratch. The original service book is stamped up to 2015, although there are more recent invoices including one with Porsche Centre Newcastle dated 12/08/2021.
The Porsche has been SORN for some time forming part of the vendor's collection which they are now in the process of downsizing. These 996 cabrios are exceedingly handsome cars, especially with the roof off, and this one really looks the part with its copious TechArt adornments and upgrades.
