The Appeal
If you're after an all-weather, eminently usable supercar, the Porsche 911 is likely to be your first pick. With its smooth, uncluttered styling, top-notch performance and an imitable soundtrack, the 996 is a sure-footed sports legend that's really coming into its own after 25 years. This was the Porsche that secured the 911's future, and while its new water-cooled set up may have upset purists, it didn't dampen its spirit.
