The Appeal
It’s easy to imagine BMW’s exhausted engineering team signing off the E46 M3, heaving a collective sigh of relief, saying in unison ‘job done’ and heading off to well-deserved retirement. Because the car they built is not just good, it can lay reasonable claim to being one of the greatest sports cars ever built.
For modern buyers, the problem is that its sheer capability means that most have been driven long and hard, and often modified in questionable directions. This car is different, an extremely low-mileage car that remains factory standard and in very good order. Presented in popular Titan Silver with a grey leather cabin, it is a high-specification car with over £4,000 of factory options. It is fitted with the desirable six-speed manual 'box and retains its rare matching hard top.
The vendor acquired the car in 2019 and has used it sparingly. The service history shows a run of stamps to support the mileage. In 2026 the car received paintwork, an air conditioning service and engine service by specialist Jacks Sport. A new battery was also fitted this year. There is also a lengthy MOT valid to November 2026.
This car is one of the last E46 M3s built, assembled at the sweet spot when technology supported rather than swamped engagement. It is a great example of a fantastic car.
