The Appeal
The second generation Jaguar XK coupe had the unenviable task of following one of the firm’s best-loved sports cars. Blending advanced lightweight aluminium construction with an all-new chassis delivered a car that at once smooth and relaxing like its forebears but nimble and tactile to suit modern customer demands.
In March 2007 the X150 was updated, receiving light changes to the front and rear and improved equipment levels. But the big change was the introduction of a 5litre version of the firm’s superb AJV8 engine, available in naturally aspirated and supercharged tune. The former delivered performance close to the previous 4litre supercharged XKR model thanks to 380bhp output.
This fantastic facelift X150 convertible was one of the first to be fitted with the 5litre naturally aspirated engine and boasts a particularly compelling ‘triple black’ combination of Black Cherry metallic paintwork, black Mohair roof and black and ivory interior.
Very well maintained by its second owner – who owns a fleet of Tanks and their own inhouse workshop – it comes to us with exceptionally low mileage and in superb condition. Few four seater convertibles deliver quite like a 5litre X150 and this one looks very tempting.
