The Appeal

The trouble with most Volkswagen Type 2s is they're getting to be rather old. Sure, if you don't mind the sedate pace and the occasional roadside fettling session, that's all very well. But, many of us crave that classic Type 2 experience without the hassle of relying on a fifty-year-old classic. That's where the Danbury campers come up trumps.

This handsome camper was built by UK-based Danbury using one of the last Brazilian-built Type 2s, manufactured in 2012. It uses a reliable 1.4-litre water-cooled inline-four petrol with fuel injection, offering 80 bhp, 35-plus MPG, runs on E10 fuel and is ULEZ compliant! There's even electric power steering, making these vans very easy to drive.

As the photographs show, this camper is well-equipped and in very good condition throughout. It's been well-maintained, with accompanying paperwork to prove it. The MOT is advisory-free and runs until 3rd April 2026.
