The Appeal

The Shogun or Pajero as known in other territories has long been Mitsubishi's flagship SUV model. Initially released back in 1981, the Shogun had an impressive production run lasting until 2021. The fourth generation was released in 2006 and offered various configurations thanks to long and short wheelbase versions, the Warrior and Barbarian examples offer better trim specifications over the standard models. Mitsubishi opted for their tried and tested 3.2L four-cylinder diesel engine upfront and when configured with their 5-speed automatic gearbox gives for a very dependable and reliable power unit.

2012 saw Mitsubishi introduce an improved monocoque body and suspension. While economy figures may not be as impressive as others, 22cm of ground clearance and a 70cm wading depth show that Mitsubishi had a focus on what really matters for 4x4's, real world functionality. The Shogun was and still is a 4x4 SUV that wants to work and work hard at that!

Summary

This Shogun, being a Warrior variant, was configured with a high specification from new. The current owner purchased this example as an ex-demo directly from a main dealer. It has clearly been cherished by the current owner, remaining in very good condition overall given the age and mileage.

When not in use, it has been kept on a private driveway and has certainly not seen the enduring work that Shogun's are capable of. Overall, this is a very good example with many more miles still left to enjoy, either on or off road!
