THE APPEAL

THE MECHANICS

• 3.0 V6 diesel engine 
• 271bhp and 442lb-ft of torque 
• 0-62mph in 6.4 seconds
• Eight-speed automatic gearbox with padel shifters
• The Maserati fires up with the touch of the button and runs as it should
• No untoward noises can be heard coming from the well-presented engine bay
• As you would expect, the Quattroporte pulls well through the gears
• The car has a firm ride, with no knocks or bangs reported
• Underside of the car is clean and tidy, with no leaks spotted 
• The brakes bring the car to a halt in a straight line and with no juddering through the pedal
