As partial as we are to a snarling V8, we must concede that a small, lightweight EV is a brilliant thing. Smooth, near-silent and surprisingly quick off the mark, the likes of the BMW I3, new Renault Five and Smart Fourtwo E-Drive have proved that you can still have an awful lot of fun in an electric car.
This 2017 Smart Fortwo E-Drive Prime Premium Plus, (to give it its full name), is in remarkably good original condition having covered a mere 9,000 miles with its sole registered keeper. The vendor has found it to be a fantastic car to live with and has since bought another electric FourTwo. As their other Smart wears the branding for their company, that’s they’ve ended up driving the most so the car offered here has been used exceedingly sparingly; although the battery has been kept conditioned and charged while not in use.
