The Watch
Since 1988, expert Swiss watchmakers, Chopard, have been timekeeping partners for the Mille Miglia - “The most beautiful race in the world”. This watch is part of their Mille Miglia GTS collection and is built to a limited edition of 1,000.

The resulting timepiece is a beautiful reflection inspired by golden age racers from 1940 to 1957. Beautifully understated, and focused on performance, it’s an accurate timekeeper inspired by those bold, decoratively numbered dials that festooned the cockpits of the Mille’s most successful speeders. The watch face also includes a date aperture framed by the Mille Miglia arrow logo.
With a deep Diamond-like-carbon black treatment across its stainless steel, from the 43mm case and dial to the functional screws, the resulting 31-jewel wristwatch boasts a hugely resistant finish, topped with a bezel and graduated aluminium insert.
The unique design is further accented by an integrated black rubber strap, with a tread inspired by period-accurate Dunlop racing tyres, fastened by a diamond-like-carbon steel clasp. The case back guarantees water resistance to a depth of 100 metres, held by eight screws and engraved with the limited edition mark. The crystal then gives a clear look into the intricate Chopard movement, with a 50s-grill ‘engine’ finish and an open-worked oscillating weight.
Thanks to its RossaCorsa red accents, and bold outsized numerals, this watch makes a real statement - capturing decades of racing heritage whilst providing a modern, innovative and accurate timekeeper.
This example looks to be in excellent condition, with no major scratches or wear that we can discern to the glasses, case or strap. It comes complete with its original packaging and all original tags.
