Imported to the UK as mostly complete cars in need of restoration, these three Healeys have since been stripped and many of their components have been refurbished. The vendor attained heritage certification for each, so now all that’s left to do is carry on where they left off.
The History and Paperwork
Chassis numbers:
1957: BN4-LO/34276
1960: H-BT7-L/6779
1962: H-BT17-L/18637
- All three were imported from the United States approximately three years ago
- Upon arrival, the cars were fully assembled and in need of restoration
- All left-hand drive and exported to the US new
- The vendor reports that they believe all the cars should be more or less complete
- Certificates from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust present for each
- Besides the 1960 car, which is missing its engine, the other two cars are reportedly matching numbers
- Collection of old US Titles present
- Not UK registered
The Condition
- All three cars have been completely stripped and are believed to be mostly complete
- Numerous parts have been refurbished and are reportedly ready to refit
- Two of the shells remain unrestored with some corrosion and damage in evidence
- The vendor points out that most of the welding to the 1960 car (H-BT7-L/6779) has been completed already, with the remaining panel needed to complete it apparently present
- All three originally fitted with wire wheels
The Mechanics
- The 1957 and 1962 Healeys (BN4-LO/34276 and H-BT17-L/18637) are said to be complete with their original engines which have also been disassembled
- The 1960 car (H-BT7-L/6779) does not have an engine
- The mechanicals are offered in untested condition
- All three were originally fitted with overdrive
