This interesting and rare 1926 Indian Prince project bike comes from long term family ownership. It is now time for someone else to bring it back to its former glory. The Prince is the 350cc SV model that Indian Motorcycles produced for 1925-1928 only.
95% complete with almost all of the hard to find parts present and still in original paint.
The Prince is a project that will need to be restored but will make a very nice and rare Indian once completed. It could be restored mechanically and kept as it is with the original paint or restored entirely including all paint and plating.
The engine turns over nicely with compression.
These points are worth noting:
The original carburettor is missing, however all tinware is present and it will be much easier finding the correct carburettor than finding an original mudguard.
The gearbox mounting ‘ear’ has a piece broken off, it needs to be welded and machined to fit.
The clutch is missing.
The petrol tank has split at the bottom seams and needs to be re-soldered.
All original tinware: petrol tank, mudguards, chaincase, rear footrests etc.
Bosch dynamo included
Splitdorff breaker point assembly + coil included.

The documents that follow the Indian are original registration documents but for a 1929 Indian of the same engine capacity and with a 3 digit engine/ frame number. The number cannot be located on the frame but further inspection or re-stamping of the number, will enable the motorcycle to be registered.
