The Appeal
Arguably the most essential British classic ever, the MGB Roadster offers timeless styling, simple mechanics and easy-going, fun performance perfecting the formula that made the sports car such an Anglocentric art. Backed by a remarkable support network and easy parts availability, there's no sign of these charming little cars falling out of favour.
This particular 1970 chrome bumper example represents the MGB in its purest form. Having been cherished by the same owner since 1996, this Roadster has clearly been well-maintained throughout its life, evidenced by its overall presentation and condition. After being SORN'd and placed into dry storage in 2018, this MGB now just needs recommissioning to return to the road.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
