The Appeal
When you think about a classic Morgan, chances are you’re imagining the 4/4. Introduced in 1930, it was the firm’s first four-wheel, four-cylinder car and set a template that was so good it remained in production virtually unchanged for over 80 years.
The 1600 introduced the 1.6L Ford ‘Kent’ engine under the bonnet. This lovely 1974 1600 was extensively restored in 2014 and refinished in British Racing Green with a complementary cream vinyl interior.
The car has had just five keepers in its 51 years, the current one since 1994. It has been used very sparingly since all that work so remains in very good condition with only light age to note in the photos. The vendor tells us that the displayed mileage of 50,055 miles is correct.
A large history file attests to the care and attention of those keepers. This lovely, charismatic 4/4 looks perfect for summer drives and show use.
The vendor says:
Very original condition. It’s a beautiful Morgan in amazing condition, with British racing green bodywork. Drives beautifully for a 51-year-old car, and we always get lots of attention wherever we go.”
